APPLICATION AND USE:
Preparation:
PREVIOUSLY VARNISHED WOOD
In Good Condition Clean the surface with Super Cleaner. Sand smooth with 280320 grade paper. Remove sanding
dust with thinners.
In Poor Condition Remove all previous coatings.
BARE WOOD Ensure that the surface is thoroughly degreased. Sand smooth with 80180 grade paper and then 280
grade paper. Remove sanding dust by brushing, dusting and wiping. If wiping with solvent then allow to dry completely
before applying the first coat.
Priming bare wood: Thin the first coat by 1015% with Thinner No.1.
Method Apply a minimum of 3 unthinned coats, more if using a roller. For best results sand smooth between coats with 320400
grade wet or dry paper. Avoid using direct from the can. Pour the amount you expect to use in a separate container.
Hints Mixing Stir well before use.
Thinner Brush YTA800 Thinner No. 1. Spray Thinner 910 or Thinner 920
Cleaner Thinner No.1
Brush Always use a clean brush that is kept specifically for varnishing. Clean brushes before use.
Roller If applying by roller, lay off with a brush or pad otherwise air bubbles may become trapped in the film.
Airless Spray (Professional spray application only) Pressure: 176210 bar. Tip Size: 13651580.
Conventional Spray (Professional spray application only) Pressure: 23 bar. Tip Size: 1.11.4 mm. Thin 2025%
with Thinner 910 or Thinner 920.
Airmix spray (Professional spray application only) Pressure: 2 bar. Tip Size: 06113.

Some Important Points Use above the waterline only. Do not use below 5°C. Avoid painting in direct sunlight. Product temperature should be
minimum 10°C/50°F and maximum 35°C/95°F. Ambient temperature should be minimum 5°C/41°F and maximum 35°C/95°F.
Substrate temperature should be minimum 5°C/41°F and maximum 35°C/95°F.
Compatibility/Substrates Suitable for use on all types of wood as long as correct surface preparation has been carried out.
