Goldspar Satin is a one-component interior satin varnish that is quick drying which helps to reduce dust pick up. This traditional varnish provides a hard smooth satin finish which is resistant to mild acids & alkalis.
Preparation:
PREVIOUSLY VARNISHED WOOD
In Good Condition Clean with thinners. Sand smooth with 280320 grade paper. Remove sanding dust with thinners.
In Poor Condition Remove all previous coatings.
BARE WOOD Ensure that the surface is thoroughly degreased. Sand smooth with 80180 grade paper and then 280
grade paper. Remove sanding dust by brushing, dusting and wiping. If wiping with solvent then allow to dry completely
before applying the first coat.
Priming bare wood: Thin the first coat by 1015% with Thinner No.1.
Method Apply a minimum of 3 unthinned coats, more if using a roller. Avoid using direct from the can. Pour the amount you
expect to use in a separate container.
Hints Mixing Stir well before use.

Roller If applying by roller, lay off with a brush or pad otherwise air bubbles may become trapped in the film.
Other For Airmix spray application: Pressure: 2 bar. Tip Size: 06113. For best results sand lightly between coats with
320400 grade paper. Avoid using direct from the can. Pour the amount you expect to use in a separate container.
Some Important Points Only use recommended thinners. Use above the waterline only. Avoid painting in direct sunlight. Product temperature
should be minimum 15°C and maximum 35°C. Ambient temperature should be minimum 5°C/41°F and maximum 35°C/95°F.
Substrate temperature should be minimum 5°C/41°F and maximum 35°C/95°F.
Compatibility/Substrates Suitable for use on all types of wood as long as correct surface preparation has been carried out.
